Josh Harris on "I Kissed Dating Goodbye"

I have been reading through some of my books that I haven't read in awhile and so I read 'I Kissed Dating Goodbye' again. I had forgotten how much I really love this book! If you haven't read it I encourage you too :) In the clip I shared Joshua Harris explains what it is about, and let me tell you, the book will really make you think! I don't want to give it away, so watch the clip, (it's really short) and then read the book. Even if you don't agree with all of it, I think Joshua mentions a lot of things that people don't really think about when getting into relationships, I have found it very helpful :)
Oh and I am working on a blog post on what I think about dating and why, and all that stuff ;) So sometime in the near future hopefully I will have that done.

It's Getting Closer!!

With all that our missions group has been doing to get ready, this missions trip is now starting to seem real to me. All 10 of us going on the trip have our passports, our first $1,000.00, and now finally.... our plane tickets!!!! It's so exciting :)

As I said, we have all raised our half of the money needed, so now we are busy raising our money as a group. We are currently working on making a church cookbook. It's been great, we've gotten a ton of recipes (put in hours of typing) and I'm looking forward to getting it finished :) I'm having a hard time believing the trip in in 5 months. It seems like a long time away so it's hard to be patient, but then thinking about all we have to do to get ready and the money still needing to be raised, I'm afraid it's going to come too fast. But I know it will all work out, the Lord is definitely leading this whole thing, and we will have time to do everything He wants us to. That's a relief ;)

And again I have to say how wonderful God is! He listens, answers, directs, provides and teaches me faith. How wonderful it is to serve an amazing God!!


Well there, that's my update. Sorry it's taken me so long to let you know what's going on. It's been busy. If you want to know more, e-mail me! I'll try and do better about updating though :)

$20.00 left .... NOT!!

YAY!!!!!! God's done it!! He has helped me reach, and actually exceed, my goal of $1,000.00 :) It's been pretty amazing, I'm blessed to serve such a great God. I wouldn't have believed that it could happen so fast, and that I would receive donations from people I have never met.
I am getting extremely excited for my trip and it can't come soon enough. Looking forward to getting the tickets in the next few weeks and continuing our fundraisers as a church. Again, please keep us in your prayers. Thank you!!!
